Demo Pit @ TC40
September 17th, 2007
What a day. This is the first time I’ve sat down since 6:00am. Well worth it.
We were in the demo pit all day, so we didn’t get to checkout any of the main presenters. We met quite a few other start ups, some VC’s, and bumped into some familiar faces. Everything went smoothly and everyone we talked to was excited about swamble.
Thanks to all who stopped by. We really appreciate the feedback and advice!
Oh, Scott won an iPhone in a raffle!
Swamble!

Pro Football Facebook App Released into the Wild!
September 6th, 2007
Hi there fellow facebooker’s! Are you ready for some Pro Football Swamble action?
Today I released our first facebook application called Pro Football Swamble. If you are on facebook head over to the pro football facebook app page and add the it!
How does Pro Football Swamble work?
You choose the team you think will win in the upcoming week for all the weeks games. We keep track of your picks and allow you to publish the results of your picks on your profile. You can invite and challenge your friends. If they join, you can battle it out every week.
You also have the ability to TALK SMACK on each game. Let the world know why you are making your pick, root on your favorite team, or just spark the fire under a game.
Bottom line .. Swamble is all about having some fun. Your suggestions are more than welcome, so head over to the discussion and send in your feedback. Is there a feature you would like to have? Ask for it, chances are I’ll build it!
The Lucky Swamblers Are:
September 1st, 2007
Alrighty, my fellow Swamble folk, the Swamble Sweepstakes for the month of August have officially come to an end. First and foremost, thanks to all participants. As promised, Gerard and I have randomly picked some swamblers and will be sending them some new, tight Swamble Swag.
The lucky swamblers selected from the August Swamble Sweepstakes are: Faldo, Smokey, Mildog, mfizzle, Will, TrippleOG and markalopolis. Gerard and I are glad to see all of the creative activity this month and we are eager to see what else our fellow swamblers have in store for the future. Swamble on!
New Swamble Created: Dinner And Drinks On Us ..
August 20th, 2007
While attending BarCampBlock this past weekend in Palo Alto, Gerard led a 5 minute demo at Blue Chalk Cafe during which he initiated a new swamble titled, Taking pics at barcampblock?.
If you (or someone you know) has photographs from Bar Camp Block and would like the opportunity to participate in this swamble, upload your photo(s) to Flickr and, if you haven’t already, sign up for Swamble!
The lucky swambler with the most interesting photo from barcampblock posted on flickr by noon time (PST) this Thursday will be selected and awarded with the prize of dinner and drinks on us the next time he/she is in Vegas.
Let us know if you have any questions. We will announce the winner on Friday- Best of luck, may the best swambler win!

Objection, Your Honor, Hearsay
August 16th, 2007
Amidst all the recent excitement and publicity, it appears as though Gerard and I have been schooled in talking with members of the press!
We enjoy hearing everyone’s opinions and input as it relates to Swamble. Gerard and I are just looking to create a fun place for our friends (that’s you) to meet up, network and join in on some friendly competitions (and, basically, to have one heck of a good time, every time!).
When we do add the private Swamble feature, that TechCrunch referenced, it will be to allow users to keep certain Swambles personal and confined to the users that they allow to see/participate, not to block the government from seeing it! Besides, come on, people, there’s no such thing as fooling/hiding web content from “the man.” We know that, and, hopefully, all of our friends do, too.
With that said, whether placing wagers on who’s bringing a girl home tonight from the bar, making a prediction on the stock market, challenging your coworkers as to whose side will bring in the most sales for the month or calling your friend out on a bluff, it’s Swamble and it’s all good, clean fun and games. Swamble, get you some!
Holy Swamble, We’ve Been TechCrunched!
August 15th, 2007
Apparently, we announced Swamble a bit too loud during our private beta and, thus, acted a little less than private so we will not be included in the final 20 of the TechCrunch20. It’s kind of a bummer to not be in the top 20 but, we will be at the conference in the demo pit. If you are going to be there, stop on by and say hello!
Yesterday, Mike Arrington wrote an article about Swamble over at TechCrunch. Thanks for the coverage Mike, we greatly appreciate it. In the last 36 hours or so, a couple hundred of the loyal TC readers have requested invites to swamble.
